i should know better than to get attached to horror story characters but FUCKKKKKKKKKK!! i think of everything, geoff's secret hurt the most,, i really loved him.

and the final scene with kelly and thomas has ruined me forever

i'm glad the writers didn't run with the whole trope of,, these two characters will fall in love just because they're reliant on one another (and it was very sexy of them to make thomas gay), their friendship was so buff… goddamnit

every crossed issue really be like here have this awesome powerful female protagonist who absolutely kicks ass

i read crossed: family values yesterday and… man what da hell

crossed: psychopath today. much worse but man at least there was less incest. psychopath was from the POV of -- you guessed it -- a "psychopath," so basically gore porn. great story-wise ofc but,, let's just say it did all it could to put you in the mind of the protagonist.

in the process of reading badlands (which has 100 issues so it's gonna,, take a while) and it's already quite a bit less graphically disturbing. still disturbing bc it's crossed, but not nearly as bad as psychopath was

one of the characters rn is highkey freakin me the fuck out because she's a war criminal and she be watchin the crossed do their thing like

some characters to make up for it in badlands so far are otis (prison femboy??), ian (cold bastard but pretty), ashley & ashlynne (miami twins with a valley thing goin on), and leon (scrawny meth cook hillbilly but,, I Love Him). also amanda from psychopatj… i won't Her

one thing crossed does a lot is leave the endings of some characters up to interpretation. i headcanon leon escaped the twins. because THAT was fucked up. it's insinuated ashley raped & killed him. this dude's already been through so much!! i'm sad wtf.

also steve (war criminal/sadist girlie) deserved way worse than whatever the fuck THAT ending was smh. the flashbacks to her days in the service were the most upsetting things in the series so far. the writers usually do justice by their characters but this,,

i thought this was gonna be my favourite. i LOVED the storytelling and the characters! and the pages' layouts -- WHEW. but they seriously botched the ending. serena still makes my list of favourite survivors tho

there was one story in particular that just. took me for a SPIN. i won't spoil too much because it was such an amazing story + ending but… lets just say i was NOT expecting the entire goddamn world to be saved from nuclear disaster by two straight dudes kissing
