i have morals and stances that i affect in real life and they affect my media consumption and analysis. i'm not going to compromise on shit like pedophilia and rape apologism for a piece of media.
similarly, i won't compromise on calling out bullshit where i see it -- WOC are hypervisible or invisible in fandom. when i see one person, especially a WOC, being heavily and nearly constantly critiqued and subbed by almost everyone around her, that's a red flag.
people, especially a WOC, have every right to address the fact that people are constantly coming after her for what, from my perspective, seems like the fact y'all don't like intellectualism, or the fact that she's similarly not cool with bullshit.
if that's not your lane, or you wanna be friends with people she doesn't like, cool! but i have seen more people sub about her when she is literally just tweeting minding her business. and when she defends herself y'all call her aggressive and condescend about it.
i just RECENTLY joined eva twitter. the fact that i've noticed this in the last two weeks alone makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
i think quite a few of us are honestly on the same side overall. but i also wish some of y'all had learned where the @ button was when you joined twitter.
