The principles of observation and logic have carried us from start to finish on our journey to having greater power on our world.
Eventually, we will be the gods we once worshipped. We will no longer require religion, as we will have ascended God's throne.
Although, perhaps if one thing were to prevent us from such a lofty position, it would be our imperfections, on both an individual and societal level.
Not only are there those among us that are selfish and fearful to a fault, raising those flaws to the millions has held us back.
Technologically, we're in the 21st century, maybe even the 22nd, but socially we're still in the 1800s, as more people than we can possibly imagine debate on things we should've collectively agreed on and dealt with decades ago.
All we seek in our journey for power is growth, security, and joy for us and those we care about. The responsibility of wielding that power lies not only in having consideration for those we have power over, but also having consideration for those we endorse to have that power.
Society is too big.
That's not to say people should die, but rather the distribution of power should be changed, so that not only can power over others be checked better, but also those of similar desires can coexist better.
It makes me think about how there are thousands of different tribes in Africa. When Europe pulled out of the continent, they split it up into about 50 or so countries. They drove lines between tribes and forced tribes together.
People groups that maybe didn't know each other, maybe even hated each other. This was one factor that caused them to be set back societally.
We have so many people being forced to live a certain way, ways they don't like.
Granted, no one will be completely satisfied, but we have the power to make it better. To satisfy more people. Only then can we advance more, and faster.
And hopefully learn a little more responsibility about the power we have, and will have.
I would love to have that power.
But the world's too fucking complicated right now.
