This is a thread I intend to use to hold myself accountable to actually practice a skill I want to obtain instead of just dreaming about it. There will be bad drawings underneath, but hopefully one day good drawings.
I was supposed to study eyes all week but I got bored of that and drew a bunch of tiny heads today instead.
Apparently you're supposed to start with gesture? I kinda knew that but decided I wanted to study the face first anyway. But now I've heard enough people say it to where I'm thinking their might be something to it.
I think after I study the mouth I need to slow down and try to draw complete portraits.
Painting minis was the same way. Doing 10 of the same soldier guys really fast has its lessons, but so does spending hours on a single model and closely examining everything.

I need to study and practice hair, lol.
back muscle anatomy studies
figuring out the woman was hard, and I honestly just guessed for the terres major and infraspinatus

Five more of these to go and then I'll get back to practicing specific areas. Although, making these has made me want to learn how to ๐ข๐ค๐ต๐ถ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐บ paint/color my drawings, but I think that's getting ahead of myself.
It's been fun having a project, but I desperately need to get back to doing studies and practice. My drawings are poop, and there's just so much that I am aware of that needs improvement. I guess that's a good thing? Not simply knowing you suck but ๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ธ you suck.
There were a couple things I made that I thought were pretty decent, but I wanted those to actually get likes so I posted them to a different account. This account is the kitchen. That account is the dining room table.
And with this sad sack, I am done with these d&d portraits! That was pretty good practice. I mostly learned technical stuff about photoshop and workflow, but I also learned there is no secret to good lines, you really just have to put in the time.

Whodunnit?
I don't know! I might find out this Sunday, but more than likely the week after because we want to test our recording process.

I will learn the muscles of the forearm.

I did a portrait painting of my niece today, and I gotta say, I like painting and I kinda wanna get good at it.
I need to get back to this thread. I've been doodling around without any real focus.
