i& #39;m SUPER into psychological horror. it fucking fascinates me. i could rant about 2 of my favourites for hours. as an example, 2 favs of mine are local 58 and ddlc. (not ddlg lmfao), ill start with ddlc

i went into ddlc knowing the basic premise- i wouldn& #39;t play THAT type of game anyway. but despite already knowing what would happen it still fucked me over. i was/still am completely obsessed over a simple horror visual novel. there& #39;s a reason it& #39;s popular- it& #39;s fucking briliant
literally hearing anything from that ost gives me chills just because of the game, despite it being cheery there& #39;s just something so off about it to me. idk, either way i love the concept of stuff that completely fucks you over in ways you& #39;d least expect. that& #39;s why i love it.
and to quote a certain someone from the game, i just fucking love how writers take advantage of a lack of imagination to really throw you through loops. dan salvato you sick son of a bitch.
moving onto local 58- despite the 2 being almost nothing alike, it gives a similar vibe. it scared me more though. i& #39;m weirdly fascinated with the idea of taking something so common (the moon in this scenario) and making it out to be some sort of deranged monster to be afraid of
at all costs. the way the series is executed- from the delightful editing to the historical accuracies, it becomes scarily real. something that by all chances, sounds like it could happen. theoretically of course you know there& #39;s now way- but your brain subconsciously decides
that there& #39;s uncertainty. bridging from that, there& #39;s a huge difference from uncertaincy in story design to plot holes and unfinished storylines. it& #39;s hard to explain, truly.
this turned into kinda a long rant, oops. i& #39;m just obsessed with this shit. i don& #39;t like shitty horror movies, or horror movies in general- i like the stuff you wouldn& #39;t consider to be true horror. those youtube videos. a sweet, innocent dating sim game with cute anime girls.
i dunno. there& #39;s something so intriguing for me about it all. i could sit and talk for forever but i think i& #39;ve gone on long enough lol. feel free to recommend me stuff you think i might like- just no shitty "waa, monster jumpscare" stuff. i want to get truly fucked with.
okay that didn& #39;t come out right but seriously. even when i know a game fucks with you if it still manages to get in your head/throw you off a loop it& #39;s an amazing game to me.
