RJB is actually connected to the incident that made me start this blog:

I was at a party in NYC with some Desi friends and friends of friends. Few people were ragging on Trump so jokingly I jumped in saying "how dare you attack our President, Donald Trump!"
As natural New York liberals, their faces were of course mortified, but then I told them I was just joking (I was). A FoF who had no idea of my politics then joked "HAHA yeah but you like Modi right?"

I side eyed him and then said "Hell yeah!" This time I was serious.
The group then proceeded to a full fledged screaming rant (not exaggerating) and yelled the standard "fascist" "Nazi" etc... rhetoric.

This was at a pregame, mind you...so ofc alcohol was involved, thereby even more emotion.
Initially I tried to remain calm and stand my ground at ease, till one guy mentioned how "Hindu terrorists blew up that one mosque in UP!"

That's when I had enough, raised my voice, and unloaded. Eventually, we had to be calmed down by other friends.
In my defense - I was several, several drinks in, as were the others.

I left with a bad taste (still had a fun night out), but the next morning I realized how absolutely stupid as shit diaspora were.

Made the blog with this thought in mind a few months later. Election season.
This thread doesn't have a point. Just a random thought with the great occasion ahead. An interesting mix of scenarios leading me to create this platform haha, with completely opposite factors (yelling match at a millennial party in NYC vs the complex history of the holy RJB)
