The story of Maggie Lindemann’s career; a thread
Born in Texas with her family, when she was a teenager, Maggie started posting covers on her Keek page and gained some attention from it.
In 2016, a former Sony Music Entertainment record label executive found a video of her singing the National Anthem on a short video on YouTube. The video is a joke and she was trying to sing badly but he saw through it and recognized her talent.
Immediately after he reached out to her and her family. He persuaded her and her family to let her fly from Texas to Los Angeles to pursue her career.
On September 2015, she released her debut single "Knocking on Your Heart". The song earned her a Top 20 spot on the iTunes Alternative Chart within 24 hours of its release.
Her second single "Couple Of Kids" was released on October 30, 2015. The song made it to the top 10 on the iTunes Alternative charts in multiple countries.
her 3rd single "Things" was released in January 2016. It got top 25 hit on the iTunes Alternative Chart within 24h. It also broke the Top 50 on the Spotify Viral 50 worldwide chart & the top 5 of the Canada viral chart. The mv was released on February (now deleted).
In September 2016, she signed to 300 Entertainment, the US label home taking care of artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Migos, and Young Thug to name just a few. She was now officially managed by Gerald Tennison who discovered her and helped her since the beginning.
The same month, she released the single "Pretty Girl", her first single since signing to 300 Entertainment. The song peaked at #4 on the Next Big Sound chart, and at #26 on the Spotify Viral 50 chart. It’s her first and only worldwide hit so far in career.
On October 2017, she featured in The Vamps& #39; single "Personal", and was a surprise guest on their UK tour.
On November 2017, she released her single "Obsessed" alongside a makeup collaboration with Pat McGrath and Spotify. Maggie was the first artist to innovate selling makeup through her Spotify page.
She came back in October 2018 with her new spooky single "Human". It’s a more mature sound and it’s around this time that Maggie found her true sound and the music she really wanted to make and release. The sound of her music changed from bubblegum pop to more pop/rock alt.
On November of 2018, released her new single "Would I", an emotional ballad about feeling like you can’t love, can’t succeed in anything and overall feeling like a failure.
On March 2019, she went on tour as the supporting act for Sabrina Carpenter on the North American leg of the Singular Tour. She performed every night her upcoming single "Friends Go" that she released on the last couple of days of the tour, in April 2019.
In June 2019, she announced a small tour in Asia. She did her first show in Malaysia but while performing she was escorted off the stage and arrested for performing without a professional visit pass. She had to cancel the rest of the tour.
She came back in January of 2020 featuring on Snot’s single "Moon & Stars". The song now has over 20M streams on Spotify.
Maggie’s lead single from her debut EP is called "Scissorhands" and is supposed to come in early August. the EP was supposed to be out in early 2020 but got delayed because of COVID.
Thought the years, Maggie was able to find her true artist way, she’s more in control over her career and her choice. She found he sound and she’s enjoying it more than ever.
