Dear White People,

Please stop explaining that you sympathize with protest but don't condone property damage, loss or lawbreaking.

Firstly. You're not SUPPOSED to like it. That's the point.

Secondly. If you don't get why the rest is necessary, you don't understand the protest.

Many of you are intent on proclaiming that the more disruptive aspects of resistance are unnecessary and diluting the purity of the movement.

And yet most of you had no idea what was happening for years until shit got disruptive enough to make the news.

America loves it's capitalism.

Its principal concern is it's bottom line and it is willing to sacrifice countless lives to increase it.

Those resisting this system recognize this.

America cares about it's wallet? That's where you hit it.

The government has more weaponry.

Bigger weapons.
More resources.

We can't win toe to toe.

They don't have to listen to us.

But we CAN tilt the balance sheet so that oppressing American citizens becomes too costly.

But when the issue is Black people being killed in a variety of different systemic ways and you as white people are pearl clutching about some property damage and making public declarations of his not cool it is while also "sympathizing," you are signaling your exemption.

Essentially you are mouthing to the authorities "I'm not actually with them! I'm one of the good ones"

Because here's the fact. The government could reimburse and rebuild anything damaged. It has the money and the capability.

But they need your outrage to validate a response.

The government needs you to care more about things than lives.

It does so by pitting your livelihood against the need of an entire people to stop being murderously oppressed.

So you will support the very "law and order" that protesters are suffering under.

The government wants you to care more about Black kids stealing sneakers than the government killing Black kids.

And you're helping.

Save your piety.

We don't fucking need it.

It has been a little over a hundred years since ANY white person was LEGALLY allowed to assault, rob, kidnap, rape and murder Black people.

What in the hell makes you think that you as a white person have any moral standing to judge how Black America resists y'all anyway?

Lastly.

Protest isn't either/or.

It's not "good" protesters vs "bad" protesters.

The people you see marching peacefully with their kids during the day are frequently the same you see clashing with cops at night.

All resistance is multifaceted.

We need peaceful family protests

We need disruptive, disobedient protests.

We need those who hold ground against police.

We need people battling within the legal system

Within the political system

Within the educational system.

We need it ALL

If you're with us. Be all in with us.

If not. Shut the fuck up because nobody needs your take.
