As an accountant with fibromyalgia & anxiety, who can’t be on the front lines, I want to help by providing independent financial oversight and recordkeeping for any Venmo/Cash account taking donations to support the #portlandprotests. Please retweet, I don’t have many followers!

The benefit to this would be transparency so that donors would know that their donations are being used effectively. I will not have access to the funds. I will set up and maintain a public google spreadsheet to show your income and exactly how the money is being spent.

I have been an Oregon CPA for ten years (currently inactive status [I legally have to say that, it just means I pay less money to the Board of Accountancy and I can’t legally state an opinion on official financial statements]) and I have 13 years of experience in the profession.

A good additional internal control would be if one or two other radical accountants or bookkeepers wanted to join me in a small collective to oversee your funds to reduce suspicion of collusion. (I promise I’m extremely ethical but then you wouldn’t have to take my word for it!)

Anyway, we all have skills and I can’t stand up for very long, but I’m a wizard with a spreadsheet. I want everyone to have the tools they need and the best way to do that is to instill confidence in people with the means to donate. Hit me up if I can help you out!
