Doing my Washington Primary voting and oooh weee is it a fun voters pamphlet this year!
I don’t understand the candidates that have their own website but still gmail or outlook addresses. It’s like $5 to add email to a domain if it’s not free to begin with
I also enjoy the candidates that still include “https://“ in their websites. Bonus points for using https though!
“Education: Christian”

“Community Service: Phil has been married for 44 years.”

Goodspaceguy never disappoints but this year he seems closer to the middle than usual. Would take too long to type so here’s a photo instead:
Martin “Iceman” Wheeler provided no information. Would have loved to learn how that nickname became so orevelant for him that he included it in his bid for Governer
One candidate’s website is on http://donorbox.org but the path is so long the pamphlet cuts it off. He also put his Instagram account in for “Elected Experience” so...

I just checked, the account has 6 followers, pretty weak “Elected Experience” in my opinion
There are 3 different Republican Parties in the primary for Governor: Republican, Trump Republican, and Pre2016 Republican.
“Community Service: David is a member of demolay in his teens like bill Clinton”. David also says “check out Davids Facebook page” but has what appears to be a Twitter handle (and nothing else) in his contact info section. Actually, it’s too long for a Twitter handle (34 chars).
Last Governor candidate spends his statement trying to “debunk” CO2 being at critical levels because even the worst case is still only a tiny fraction to the 96.5% of CO2 on Venus.
GTFO. Maybe to Venus?
GTFO. Maybe to Venus?
Lieutenant Governor candidate has Elected Experience of freshman student council president in high school and has “some wild ideas on how we can end poverty forever”. Strong click-bait vibe. You’ll never expect number 5!
Buckle up for the Commissioner of Public Lands candidates...
Community Service: I’ve never been to jail
“I like environmental protection”
Great!
“I don’t like fires”
Ok?
“Let’s work together to clean up the environment and stop fires”
Sounds great! Moving on to the next candida... oh, wait there more...

“President Trump says we need to rake our forests to clean up debris that exacerbated fires and that’s where I intend to start”

“Please vote for me.”
And that’s the whole platform for a Commissioner of Public Lands.

Statement: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Profound way to start but ok...
“If elected I will direct an independent study of the effects of 5g cell-phone towers upon living things”
*checks candidate info again*
“5gkillseverything@gmail.com”
sigh

http://VoteFrankNaturally.com would imply Frank’s last name is Naturally right? (It’s not). What does that domain mean?
Not one candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction started their Statement with “I believe the children are our future.” and that makes me sad #VoteWhitneyHouston
Community Service: UBER and Lyft driver during pandemic.
Is a paid job considered community service now?
Is a paid job considered community service now?
Same candidate: “sometimes I think it would be better to just start all over from 550 BC with a Pythagorean Academy”
Running for Superintendent of Public Instruction!?!
Running for Superintendent of Public Instruction!?!
“Education: I going to use the O.I.C. To acquire and manage 168 students as I need in order to major in Every Degree at UW”
Bold strategy for the Insurance Commissioner candidate that also says he has the knowledge and abilities of Reagan and Jefferson

I think this candidate was my favorite in a “very much so not my favorite” way
Also, if I ever run for public office in the future I’m citing this thread in my “Community Service” section. It’s more relevant than being an Uber driver!
