Just heard two new stories about Hutterite women visiting Winnipeg and, in separate incidents, being told to leave a restaurant and a business. It goes without saying: please don’t do this, and please challenge it if you see it. This is discrimination, not safety.

I’m going to reiterate a few things. One, there are over 120 Hutterite communities in MB. Only a handful have had positive cases. Since the start, communities have worked closely with MB health authorities, the Hutterian Safety Council’s COVID-19 task force + others to keep safe

Just because you don’t hear everything Hutterite communities are doing *right now* in response to those cases in small handful of communities, including extensive contact tracing + self-isolation, does not mean those things are not happening. They are.
