Plenty of Arsenal news doing the rounds today (25 July) so I've done a quick thread to keep you guys up to date just in case you missed any Arsenal news today.

Mikel Arteta: “I have to say that I am very confident with the way that the owners & board are approaching this crucial time for us.“

Mikel Arteta: “Look how simple I’m going to put it for you - If we are able to do the same next season against the top teams & improve a little bit against the other ones, we’re going to be right up there with the best teams.”

Arteta: “It’s not as simple as that but one of the stats about the difficulties we have creating the chances is related to that & it’s something we have to focus on in order to improve & be more consistent in results against any opponents.”

Mikel Arteta: “I could enjoy more after our wins if I have a few days more. For a first job, it’s been quite a challenge! I’ve tried to embrace it, give my best, tried to help the club & players as much as I can. At the moment it’s work, work, review, work & try to improve.”

Arteta: “We need the fans to be right behind us, and we can't wait to welcome you back to Emirates Stadium as soon as it's safe to do so next season, so we can feel your love and feed off your positive energy again. This has been a strange season for everyone.”

Arteta: “But on a personal note, it's been a year I will never forget. To take over as head coach at Arsenal is a huge honour for me, and hopefully we can end my first
season with silverware at Wembley. Thanks for your support and see you next season!”

Arteta on Granit Xhaka: "He’s a player that when he commits he gives 100%. He worked really hard, he won everybody’s trust again. He’s starting to enjoy it, you could see that & normally when you have those two aspects together that’s when players perform at the highest level"

Arteta: "I think for a football player when you feel the fans supporting you, you feel the love, the support, it’s an immense amount of drive & energy that produces. To be fair, since I joined I saw that [love] towards Granit. The atmosphere was completely different"

Bukayo Saka on changing to #7: "I was so excited to get it. It's stuff you dream of & to think of the legends who have had it is such an honour. I liked the number growing up because some of the best players in the world have worn it"

Bukayo Saka: "It shows how much confidence they have in me & I want to repay their faith & hopefully can write my own history in that shirt"

Bukayo Saka on Aubameyang: “In the academy we got tickets to watch [the first team] and I used to see him scoring goals. To now be playing with him is just amazing. He's such a good guy who helps all the young players with advice and he's also funny as well!”

Dani Ceballos knows it is impossible for him to return to Real & work with Zinedine Zidane as his coach, yet having spent a year on loan at Arsenal he would be quite keen to stay there. ( @marca)
