Two days ago, I was asked by the pool guards and security to get out of the pool in La Vista Ain El sokhna because of my burkini, and I was clearly told “Bikni and one piece swimsuits are only allowed and there isn’t a place for you in that pool” A thread
I’ve heard so many incidents lately but honestly, I’ve never understood how humiliating it felt until I was put in the same position.

I refused to get out of the pool since it is NOT mentioned in the Pool Rule Sign anything related to banning Burkini, what was mentioned that-
“Only swimsuits are allowed”, and I was wearing a one-piece burkini which is like a diving suit that is made of a typical swimsuit material and meets the hygiene regulations.
I’ve told them about the latest decision of the ministry of tourism and they said;
we follow our management’s order and we know nothing about this decision.

While I was refusing to get out of the pool they have told me "ممكن حد يصورك ويبعت صورتك علي جروب القرية ويقول ان واحدة ب بوركيني نازلة حمام السباحة وده هيعملنا مشكلة”
Even though almost everyone around me was supporting me and telling me "اوعي تطلعي"
But Seriously? someone taking a picture of me? is that even acceptable but what is not acceptable wearing a swimsuit that covers my body? everyone around kept telling me "اوعي تطلعي"
We kept on fighting their oppressive and discriminatory policies and after so many negotiations and me refusing to get out, and them being absolutely not convincing and very prejudiced towards the burkini;
The manager came and told me we are getting you a golf car to take you to other pool that is not the image of La vista, and I asked him "وده بتحطوا فيه كولور زيادة يعني ولا ايه؟” -I was being sarcastic
and he replied by "اه بنحط كولور زيادة”
This is absolutely unacceptable. In France or any other country, we could justify this ban since there is a lack of awareness of Islam. But in an Islamic Arab country like Egypt, how can we accept this?
Every woman should wear whatever she wants without any intervention.
That’s the swimsuit I wore and got a kick out from it.
