The investigative reporting by @mbalter has dredged up more than a decade of Danielle Kurin's destructive behavior. The worst of it is the fact that she retaliate against victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault who reported their abuse to @ucsantabarbara. #metoo #STEMtoo

She then continued to abet the abuser -- her former husband and partner -- by hosting another field school for undergraduate students where he was present. This resulted in more victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault. #MeToo #STEMtoo

Danielle Kurin is now suing the journalist, @mbalter, for $18 million because he exposed the danger she poses to @ucsantabarbara students and any students she works with. Yet, her lawsuit itself is riddled with untruths and fabrications.

Now that journalist, @mbalter, has reported on just one fabrication in her lawsuit which pertains to her ongoing relationship with the abuser, her former husband. What's also troubling here is that Danielle Kurin's lawyer @ScherDave is helping his client perpetuate lies. Now, not only has Danielle Kurin mislead the court in the lawsuit she filed against @mbalter, her lawyer is now amplifying lies and fabrications. It would behoove her lawyer, @ScherDave, to fact check assertions provided by his client.

At the end of the day, what is clear is the Danielle Kurin has a decades long history of destructive and manipulative behavior. She has expressed little if any remorse for the victims of sexual assault that occurred because of her gross negligence. #metoo #STEMtoo

Danielle Kurin is not fit to teach at @ucsantabarbara and should not be given tenure by @UCSB_Anthro. She has demonstrated no ability to learn from past mistakes, accept responsibility, and change. Her presence in the institution is a risk to students. #metoo #STEMtoo

The apparent ease with which Danielle Kurin files frivolous lawsuits riddled with untruths and has her lawyer share outright lies, also makes me wonder about her academic integrity. Might someone with these characteristics also fabricate research results to fit their arguments?

If I were @ucsantabarbara and @UCSB_Anthro I would be extremely judicious in vetting everything Danielle Kurin presents to them in her tenure packet, including her research results. Of course, the fact she retaliated against undergraduates reporting abuse should disqualify her.
