I promised I would share the @Fast social media strategy in real time, so let’s go

We’re still very early in the process, but here’s where we’re at so far (a brief thread)
First thing’s first, we’re a new tech start-up that needs to build awareness for a product that isn’t yet live.

So step one: Increase impressions by maintaining a consistent posting schedule. Social media rewards proficiency. We need to post, and we need to post often.
But what do we post?

We can’t just sell to our audience, that’s not a captivating enough reason to share our content (let alone follow us). Instead we need to create content that is interesting to consume, while still relevant to our product (a 1-click check out experience).
To do this we are leveraging the brands and products that our followers already love. We’ve found several interactive ways to do this already.

This example asks you guess brands based on emojis (bonus: we increase brand affinity by offering @Fast swag) https://twitter.com/fast/status/1284178828366143491?s=21
This example allows people to share their favorite brands within a certain category.

And since the brands themselves get tagged, they get additional exposure as a result of our tweet. Win/win. (bonus: we actually buy the product and follow up with the receipt the same day) https://twitter.com/fast/status/1285255850894987265
We also want to highlight the problem our product solves (but in an entertaining way).

So this is a thread that hits the pain points of buying stuff online, told only in Hamilton GIFs. It was so popular that we also exported to our Instagram Stories. https://twitter.com/fast/status/1286454985136496640
Because we are still feeling out our audience and defining our voice, we’re testing different kinds of content.

We tried to have a little fun with this tweet, but it didn’t particularly set the world on fire. https://twitter.com/fast/status/1287011470153220098
Lastly, Twitter rewards quick wit. We will try to join relevant trends as quickly as possible.

Here is a successful example from today that also illustrates the value of our product. https://twitter.com/fast/status/1287045856282267648
This is only part of our current content strategy, but it gives a good glimpse into how we are thinking about it.

There is more implementation, planning, and content creation to do. But we’re currently setting the foundation to put us in a position for future success.
