telling cis black women that they'll never fit into "traditional" parameters of femininity in response to transphobia is rlly not the woke power statement that y'all think it is nor is it even relevant

like can cis bw perpetuate the same transphobic ideologies as their cis counterparts? of course. but the same can be said for literally any other cishet centered communities

cis bw [especially dark skin] have ALWAYS been unprotected. cis bw have ALWAYS been underrepresented. cis bw have always dealt with the intersectionality of being black women. and, like black tw, cis bw r also beaten, raped, and humiliated at the hands of black MEN

so if you wanna have a civil and honest conversation about transphobia within black communities maybe come up with a talking point that doesn't involve stripping bw of their femininity bc that's going to get us literally nowhere lol
