The world of the rich and poor are million miles apart. Even waste from rich folks is money while waste from the poor is completely useless. I once worked with a waste management company. I supervised operations of the company which demand that I sometimes need to be on ground

when waste is collected from our clients homes. When we work in wealthy neighborhood the waste is filled with recyclable refuse. During festive seasons especially Xmas period we usually find various electronic products in good condition dumped by those wealth folks,

I remember one year during Xmas, we want to collect waste from a client's house, we saw lots of electronic products in their trash can, close by was a fridge, after emptying the trash can, the driver said oga make we carry the fridge, asked why he said it is meant for disposal

I told him we can not because the fridge from all indications is still in good condition. The driver and the motor boys laughed at my ignorance but I insisted that they should leave it. 3 days later, the owner of the house where we left the fridge called and complained that we

did not pick the fridge that it is littering their compound. I sent the driver to pick the fridge to office tested it and worked perfectly just like most of the electronic products we have been picking from that neighborhood. Shoes, bags mattress e.t.c are regular waste.

At times if we meet those folks at home, they threat us like friends, they make waste collection job feel like working with very important People. We have less trouble navigating their neigbhood because the roads are in good shape and our job is done in a short period even the

operation truck works like brand new truck once we hit rich neighborhood. But when it comes to poor neighborhood everything is poor. Waste from those poor neighborhood are mostly unrecyclable, which means that no side money for the motor boys. The volume of waste from 3

houses in poor neighborhood most times is more than what we pick from an entire street in rich neighborhood because there are more people in those poor neighborhood than they are in rich neighborhood. This means that we have to work for more days in poor neighborhood despite the

fact that larger percentage of our clients reside in rich neighborhood. Apart from the insults and disrespect that is hurled at our team in those poor neighborhood, to receive payment for our service is battle. You see we charge the rich neighborhood more for their little waste

which they always pay in advance, but the poor neighborhood pay less for more waste and even find it hard to pay chikini money we charge them. Beside this, our truck usually develope issue in poor neighborhood, basically because of bad roads, and poor road network.

One other thing, I think lot of sex happen in poor neighborhood, from my observation of waste from those hood, it usually contain large number of used baby 'pampers' while rich neighborhood waste hardly contain used baby'pampers'.

Based on my experiences in relating with rich and poor neighborhoods, there are more opportunities to excel in rich neighborhood. Relocate to wealthy neighborhood if you can.
