Trying to figure out which of my opinions is most unpopular on here, these are the opinions I have where I think my Twitter circle most disagrees with me
Strict gun control
No State should use Ranked Choice Voting to determine the allocation of its electoral college votes
Human space travel and settlement is a good use of tax dollars
We should be building more nuclear power plants
A Value-Added Tax (VAT) is a good way to fund social programs like M4A and housing guarantees (but highly progressive taxes like capital gains, wealth tax, corporate income, and inheritance taxes are also necessary for non-budgetary reasons)
Paul Ryan's BAT is a good and progressive tax as long as it's a new tax or a component of a VAT that does not replace the corporate income tax
We should focus specifically on reducing beef production/consumption in order to return vast swathes of grazing land to nature
GMOs as a technology are fine, the problem is capitalism
Lower the voting age to 16
West Coast best Coast
It is desirable for the United States to have a great deal more of economic independence than we currently do, even is this results in higher prices
Congressional term limits would do more good than harm
A jobs guarantee is a good idea in theory, but in practice probably wouldn't work out too well
You can tell from this thread that I believe my Twitter circle is mostly leftists, which is why I'm highlighting areas of disagreement with the left here. In reality I am in lockstep with the left on almost every issue on policy and prioritization
