I'm not even going to speak on the latest situation because I'd rather leave it to african moomoos who have already explained it, but the way the kpop fans (not just our fandom) blindly trust idols truly worries me.
Not only do some of you speak over black and desi people but you block and report actual fans just because they initally choose to stand up for a culture rather than for an artist who might have been insensitive. This isn't the first time and this doesn't happen in only 1 fandom.
I do agree that you should get your facts straight before judging, be it against or for the artist, but do not come for people who instinctively choose to empathize with the culture/nationality/minority group that could have been disrespected.
Just to clarify:
1. I'm not "siding" with antis, this is about how fandoms fight among themselves, moos x moos
2. Actual MMM stans obviously wouldn't be aggressive towards AHJ, some people were just unsure/uncomfortable about defending her rather than the culture
