The Shadow of Kyoshi

An essential for every Avatar fan who loves the lore. The second book of the duology about the Era of Kyoshi, an Earth Avatar. A strong sequel to the Rise of Kyoshi.

The avatar lore, as rich as the tv series were, is further expanded with this legend. The..
novel is rich in prose yet hard to put down. As sequences are hard to write, Yee manages to write them as action-packed as a visual media. The book is as brutal and violent as the first one. Yee had the rare opportunity to make the world anew, one not ruined by the Fire Nation...
The first book focused on the Earth Kingdom and it's culture, the second on Fire Nation and its politics.

Snippets of Kuruk's and Yangchen's legends are written, but only the parts that matter for the current Avatar.

Not a page goes by where I didn't gasp or squeal..
Every event is unpredictable. Kyoshi's journey is a unique one, as Korra's and Aang's was.

Of course, it wouldn't be Avatar without political undertones.

I could go on and on about this books but to finish this thread I just wanna say to READ THE DAMN BOOK MY GAHD
