LRT My mom raised 3 kids by herself working 12 hour days so I could graduate college. So being able to afford the stuff I can now, it's always crazy to me still how so many people have like no grasp on the wealth/wage disparity happening in the US and how little people live off
It's impossible for me to be elitist about stuff like fashion because the only times I even got new clothes in the past was for school and literally no other times. I made like $9/hr during college and actually had to move off campus for a chance because I couldn't afford dorms
Whenever I buy myself something nice, I'm still racked with so much guilt. "Is it okay for me to do this?" "Will something bad happen soon?" "Did I just completely fuck myself?" Etc etc etc because that financial scarcity never leaves your brain even when you're doing better
