Last fall, I invited people to request free lettering, so that I could practice and maybe give people something nice. I got roughly 40 responses. I& #39;ll share some of my lettering in this thread.
Which lettering styles in the thread are your favorites?
These 4 are mine.
I feel like my attempts at a brush script style were hit and miss. :/
Some of these are traditionally lettered, with digital post-processing. I thought these two looked better with the light and dark inverted. :)
I found I enjoy constellation-style lettering.
I thought these turned out cute.
These two are mostly digital. Left: one of my first. Right: one of my last. I feel like I learned some things.
Picture-in-word lettering. I might have gotten carried away sometimes.
I kept it simpler with these.
These were longer requests, a little intimidating. LOL
I rarely use cherry red in my art, but I seem drawn to it in lettering.
Some geometric styles.
Some nature-y styles. One Nicole is a butterfly; the other is a tree.
These requests all came in within 24 hours, and were completed over the course of several months. Having fewer come in at a time, and a deadline and pay as an incentive, would have helped me complete them in a more timely way, for sure!
I now feel comfortable opening two commission slots for lettering. DM me if you& #39;re interested. Point out a style you like from this thread, or pitch an idea of your own; I& #39;ll show you a sketch and price by complexity. Please allow 1 week for completion.
