For the longest time, my alarm was always set for 7:00 AM and I would hit snooze a few times before getting up
Then I realized that the best time for me to work out was in the morning before work
Then I realized that the best time for me to work out was in the morning before work
So if I wanted to get my workout done, have breakfast and get ready for work I needed to wake up much earlier
My body was used to sleeping at 2 AM-3 AM and waking up around 7:30 AM
So I started to set my alarm clock 15 min earlier
Instead of 7:00, it would ring at 6:45

I did this for a few days until my body got used to waking up earlier
Then I would set my alarm 15 min earlier again
Now it was ringing at 6:30 AM
I did this for a few days again until I felt my body was getting used to it
All the way to 5:00 AM
Then I would set my alarm 15 min earlier again
Now it was ringing at 6:30 AM
I did this for a few days again until I felt my body was getting used to it

I never rushed pushing back my alarm the 15 min
If my body needed a week to adjust I gave it that
If it adjusted after 2 days then I pushed back my alarm right away
Something else I was noticing was that I was getting tired much earlier than usual

All of a sudden my eyes were closing at 1 AM, midnight and now 11 PM!
I made myself aware of this so as soon as I felt tired I would go straight to bed
Today I usually get to bed around 10 PM and fall asleep before 11
This gives me my 6-7 hours of sleep per night

It also helps that my wife sleeps 9 hours and is in bed around the same time or even before me
I have also noticed that on the weekends when I don& #39;t have an alarm set
After 7 hours max I wake up
This reassured me that my body didn& #39;t need more than 7 hours of sleep
