♾Seven times @caitrionambalfe looked like she was plucked straight from the canvas of a painting in the Soviet style: A Thread♾

(This is by far the most random thing I’ve ever posted, but bear with me.)
The first time I saw this photo of Caitriona, it immediately reminded me of this whimsical Russian avant-garde painting I had seen in a museum on the other side of the world a long time ago.

1. By the Sea. Marie-Louise by Kliment Redko.
And then there’s this one. Aren’t Caitriona and her friend the ultimate collective farm girls?

2. Komsomol Girls by Konstantin Yuon
Who’s the badass colonel now?

3. Portrait in Gimnasterka (military smock) by Juliya Zhukova.
Beauties in yellow.

4. Untitled by Lyashchuk Timofei Andreevich
Strong women following their passions.

5. Laboratory Assistant by Oleg Leonidovich Lomakin
Both Claire and this Soviet mama know that cold air is good for the baby.

6. First Born by Elza Davidovna Khokhlovkina
Floral headscarves and daydreaming

7. Head of the Girl in a Kerchief by Konstantin Makovsky
