Last week I holidayed in Lincolnshire for 5 days staying at a #dogfriendly house owned by a farmer in @LincsWoldsAONB (pictured) #visitlincolnshire
Arriving on the Monday to a friendly welcome and a glorious lemon cake we walked around the area with the dog. Followed by an evening meal before enjoying the one thing that eludes the town dweller- a sunset.
On the Tuesday we visited Market Rasen town centre followed by Willingham Woods an area of interest to both nature and history lovers. There we see the orchids pictured below. #visitlincolnshire
On the Wednesday we visited Louth on market day. It was good to see the market and businesses trying hard to get back to "normal" in the friendly environment that is Louth.
Whilst in Louth we had lunch at the fabulous #dogfriendly @batemansbrewery pub the Woolpack. I could not resist the steak and fabulous onion rings. My wife had scampi. #visitlincolnshire
On the Thursday we drove through some of the lesser known areas of @LincsWoldsAONB
...and we ended up at @ForestryComm Chambers Farm Wood where we had a long walk and saw many butterflies.
OK , so I only stayed about 45 miles away from my home in Spalding, but staying in the Wolds gave us more time as well as an escape from town life of Spalding. You don't have to go far to enjoy a break and at least you are supporting your area. #visitlincolnshire
