I’m... pissed. Advocating for my VP choice is NOT any of the following:

-toxic
-unpatriotic
-cultist behavior
-sad
-divisive
-hostile
-wrong

How dare you. 1/
Look, I initially had reservations about VP. Women deserve MORE than scraps and I did not support JB in the primary.

But my opinions are not a priority over the state of our democracy or world. We need KH and she said she’d be honored to serve. Nothing more to debate here. 2/
A beautiful thing happened here yest that some are trying to diminish.

As someone who’s been the target of misogyny, it was uplifting to see so many ppl from diverse backgrounds genuinely uplift a BW. We rarely see that. And I didn’t know how much I needed to see just that. 3/
So I have to question anyone who tries to discredit the moment.

Why? If it’s not your style then simply say so and get on with your business.

Why should what some do to uplift a woman who gets consistently trashed in the media bother you? Shit’s not making sense to me. 4/
Weeks from now VP will be announced & we’ll all (hopefully) dig in to get that lunatic out of office. But that won’t stop me from knowing it’s her even if KH’s name is not called.

Don’t you get it? Authentic power doesn’t need a title, but it deserves one and it’s about time! 5/
I support #KamalaHarrisforVP because she is the best PERSON for the job. Period.

My support didn’t end with her campaign nor would it end if she decided to sell encyclopedias for a living.

I uplift her bc she uplifts others. It is just that simple for me. 6/
But regardless, don’t dare try to shame me for my advocacy.

I have my own mind and I use it frequently and WELL. And if you can be an azzhole on twitter I surely can tweet about my VP preference.

And we can just call it even. eom
