I know a YouTuber who’s so on-the-ball with making videos during shows, that he doesn’t enjoy the shows anymore..

He just kinda goes through the motions now

When I was 16, I lived for online wrestling discussion..

Then one day, I noticed I’d not watched a show for over a year! https://twitter.com/figtees/status/1286979341239410688">https://twitter.com/figtees/s...
I assumed at the time I had been busy... but looking back, it’s obvious

I burned out!

I was so fed up and embarrassed of how seriously people treated wrestling, I subconsciously lost interest!

Any time I tried watching wrestling it was a struggle, I lost all of my enthusiasm..
So I stopped trying, I genuinely thought I’d “grown out of it”

I eventually had Monday/Tuesdays off so I started to watch RAW again.. it didn’t take me long to rediscover the bug

..my love for wrestling was stronger than ever the 2nd time around..

I just cared so much more..
To this day, I’ve held on to that passion..

it’s watering down now as I get older, but my understanding of how social media can spoil wrestling for people is something I’ll never lose.. because I experienced it first hand https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👍" title="Thumbs up" aria-label="Emoji: Thumbs up">

As a teen, I’d have never thought it was possible
So I reiterate:

If you feel overwhelmed by all the reactionary dumbassery of the online wrestling community, take a step back...

...do it for the future of wrestling...

Less people watch wrestling now than ever before, because too many didn’t know when to log off https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🙏" title="Folded hands" aria-label="Emoji: Folded hands">
If you read this thread and think “pfft this couldn’t ever happen to a passionate fan like me”... I assure you it’s already happening.
