Things are picking up at the new trial pedestrianised area around Grafton Street. Needs a few improvements but it's a million times better than the College Green trial last year. Here's a small walkthrough:
Most of these pictures were taken between 11-11:30am.

Streets are closed off with these wooden fences and not those ugly steel barriers. DCC staff directing traffic at major junctions and entrances.
Didn't spot any seating areas on South William Street but restaurants were starting to set up on Drury Street.
Lots of people test riding e-bikes on Drury Street too.
Restaurants on Dame Court were setting up an outdoor seating area.
Dame Lane is technically still not pedestrianised. Guess why.
Grafton Street looks busier than last week but that's an entirely unscientific estimate. The rationale for pedestrianising these streets was the low footfall in the Grafton Street area.
Not a lot going on on Duke Street but lots of people sitting outside on Anne Street. Couldn't get a seat outside @coffeeangel
I know the black bollards are fixed into the road but these 'no parking' cones should really have been removed. No need for them at the moment. And hopefully the DCC truck on Drury is gone.
@ShopPowerscourt are hosing down their steps to stop people sitting on them
Clarendon Street looks much nicer after the recent facelift.
The SWS pedestrian area ends before the junction. Presumably because of the car park on the right.
