NIPOST as an institution is nothing short of embarrassing. They are unable to do the one thing they should do AKA deliver letters/parcels. An institution with so much potential in this day and age but all they do is swallow packages.

Incase you did not know, NIPOST is our local postal service, the equivalent of USPS (US), Royal Mail (UK) or China Post (China). It is their responsibility to deliver anything sent to you via another country’s postal service without additional fees.

Unless the item attracts a customs fee you are not supposed to pay them anything since the sender has already paid. However, they refuse to deliver. They call citizens to come to their offices to pick things that THEY should have delivered to them and still ask them to pay.

Half of the time, there are no receipts for these payments. There are no computers in sight, there are no scanners. They count everything by hand and then log/register them with paper and pen. In 2020? This should not be funny but it is

Their offices are graveyards for things that belong to others. So many instances of looking for an item and even contacting the the sender to declare said item missing but it is sitting right there in their office.

You have to go everyday to beg or give someone money for your package to appear. Now I’m hearing that they are trying to frustrate SMEs? Of course they are, it is on brand for them at this point.
