what is happening in my hometown a thread; PLEASE SPREAD THIS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, SPREAD THIS LIKE WILDFIRE, WE NEED EVERYONES HELP
a little backstory: I live in texas, a town called Mission. we are about 10-15 minutes away from the United States-Mexico border. we are a town heavily populated with hispanic/latin people. it is no surprise we have immigrants seeking asylum everyday.
these past few days have gotten terrible. babies, children, teenagers, adults, elders, pregnant woman, the list goes on are being kept in hotel rooms with no aid and no form of communication. they are being transported on UNDOCUMENTED government vans. this is ILLEGAL.
attorneys have shown up to the hotel and demanded to speak to the immigrants, they have been forcefully thrown out of the hotel, being shoved in to elevators by unidentifed men.
the way these people are being treated is UNHUMANED. they are being thrown in cages.. OPEN YOUR EYES.
