Yes It was 'Akbar the Great' who begged to an Indian Queen to spare his life.
She was Kiran Devi Rathore, Wife of Prithviraj Rathorethe Raja of Bikaner.

Today's Meena Bazar open for 5 to 8 days during the Norouz (New Year) festival. The fair was closed for the public,
while the women of the Harem, the wives and daughters of the noblemen in the court, set up their own stalls to sale cloth, jewellery, handicrafts etc.
This Platform was served to include Hindu women into the Mughals Emperor's Hareem in disguise of collecting money for charity.
Lusty Akbar enchanted by her Beauty had eyed upon kiran Devi and asked her to spend a night with him, He followed her and blocked her way though kiran Devi warned him and explained him that who is she as the Queen Of Bikaner and Daughter of Maharaja shaktisingh....
In a fraction of second Akbar Froze with fear as Kiran Devi took out a dagger which she was carrying on her waist, hold directly on Akbar's throat and Ready to kill him. The Mughal ruler trembled with fear as she was also managed to pull the carpet where he was standing.
She stamped her foot on Akbar's chest while placing her Dagger on his throat , Akbar soon pleaded for Mercy but she let him go under one condition that fair in Meena Bazar shouldn't take place anymore which Degrades women, Akbar agreed and his life got spared under Rani's Mercy.
The Bravery of Rani Kiran Devi a symbol of Feminity (shakti) who dragged the Mughal Badshah to her Feet got eliminated form our History Books but portray a womanizer as a Great King, who own Harem to degrade the modesty of Women.
