You guys think you know Maguire’s faults better than Scouts? You’ve been clamoring for Bailly, but he’s been fit for a while and still not starting, probably because a fast CB isn’t a priority, no?!
Everyone hated the way Mourinho set us up, and said they wanted us to play better, and we’re doing that, but STILL people complain. The reality is, people want us to play like Liverpool/City do I.e basically a cheap knock off.
And brings me to De Gea. He has made his mistakes and this isn’t to defend him, but to get at him because he isn’t a Sweeper Keeper and somehow blame him because he won’t make up for Maguire’s flaws is downright infuriating. How many fucking goal keepers are actually sweepers?!
Maybe, JUST MAYBE, the coaching staff had a plan for how they wanted to play, and that includes not going gung ho and exposing the backline. Everyone complains about our CBS not having pace, but how many times has De Gea been faced with 1v1s? How often has he exposed?!
Y’all need to shut up every once in a while and not air every opinion you come up with. Same thing I’ve said. People build narratives in their head, then act according to those narratives then, when reality doesn’t align, they get upset.
