Chris heads into the final gameweek with his TRIPLE CAPTAIN chip intact, which is a massive boost for his shot at the throne.
However, Joshua still has a Wildcard to use, which makes this become a really exciting prospect.
Well played to both of them

For Chris, he needs to get this captain pick right.
On the last 2 gameweeks, he has only seen 6 points combined for his captain picks.
GW36: Foden BOU (H) - 4 points
GW37: Bruno WHU (H) - 2 points
Disheartening, but yet he still finds himself #1 on the overall leaderboard.

Chris has scored 4 or less points on 12 of his 37 captaincy picks so far this season, 3 more times than Joshua, which is also hard to believe.
However, overall, Chrisâ captains have scored 596 points for his team, compared to Joshuaâs with 506.

So what does this tell us?
Donât let your captain picks define your season, here we have the current number 1 player in @OfficialFPL blank with his captain for almost a THIRD of the season.

Chris also doesnt venture too far from the shore when it comes to choosing his captains.
His favourite captains have predominantly these 3 players:
Salah (9 times)
Aguero (8 times)
Kane (7 times)
Chris has only captained KDB twice in 31 appearances!

His most successful captain has been Salah, who averages 20.7 points for him over the course of the 37 games to date.
Will he choose his trusty stead Salah tomorrow?
No. Because he got rid of him in GW33+.

His next favourite captain, Aguero, was banished in GW30+ after his injury thatâs kept him out the rest of the season.
Kane looks to be the choice?
Also wrong, Kane was sold in GW34+ for Raheem Sterling, who Chris captained in GW35+ for a handy 42 points.

In fact, in 3 of the last 4 gameweeks, Chris has opted for City players.
34+: KDB (14 points)
35+: Sterling (42 points)
36+: Foden (4 points)
Chris tends to change his captain every week, he also only not done so on 5 occasions.

(Fun Fact) Statistically, on points-per-game, Chrisâ best captaincy this season has been none other than Marcos Alonso, who scored him a tremendous 28 points back in GW9, a 1-0 win over Newcastle. Alonso was the only scorer in the match, earned a clean sheet and all 3 BPS.
With several options in Sterling, Bruno, Rashford and Mane, it tells me he will go with one of these 4 *if he doesnât transfer in a captain*
Your first guess would have to be Sterling, who faces bottom of the league Norwich at home.

However, is that a wise choice.
This thread by @Philosopey explains why this might *NOT* be the best choice, especially with Pep pretty much all but confirmed David Silva starts.

That leaves Bruno v LEI (A), Rashford v LEI (A), and Mane v NEW (A).
Most would see the United v Leicester game as a no go, as it is likely to be a stern and tight contest.
Mane away to Newcastle?
If Liverpool perform close to how the did v City, that could go bad also.

My guess is that he either goes with Sterling, or he brings in Kane again.
However it would need to be on a hit, unless he has plenty money ITB.
A hit wouldnât be too detrimental, as he possesses the TC chip, but will be take that risk with just a 2 point lead?

Going back to Chrisâ playstyle, he has opted for the âset and forgetâ option for his GK for the majority of the season.
His goalkeeper of choice has been Nick Pope, who he has owned for the full season, alongside Button of Brighton.
Overall, Pope has scored him 144 points.

This makes Nick Pope his 4th highest scoring player, behind Salah, KDB and Aguero.
Chris also likes to deploy a 3-4-3 formation, and he has done this on 16 occasions this season.
His second favourite formation has been the 4-3-3 formation.

So it is clear Chris enjoys fielding 3 strikers, as he has opted for this 28/37 times.
His favoured three frontmen have been Ings, Kane and Rashford.
This trio has earned Chris 263 points (excl. captaincyâs).

His midfield largely consisted of Salah and KDB throughout the season, with Cantwell being his 3rd most played midfielder, on 15 occasions.
Limited success with him however, as he has averaged just 3.8 PPG in the side.

Another inclusion that has surprised me is the fact that Aurier has been his 4th most used player, making 20 appearances for his team.
Again, largely unsuccessful as he averaged just 3.8 PPG also.

And yet another stat I found surprising for Chrisâ team was the fact he has fielded a player for each team this season, EXCEPT Leicester.
Chris has NEVER owned Vardy, Maddison, Soyuncu or even Perez, who was hot property at the start of the season.

Chrisâ first hit the top spot in the @OfficialFPL rankings back in GW23, which he held for 7 weeks in game.
He was dispossessed of his number 1 spot immediately after the restart, which saw him drop down to second.
He has only recently reclaimed his #1 spot, in GW36+.

Quite crazy when you consider the fact his captain in GW36+ was Foden, who earned him just 6 points.
Yet he still scored 3 more points than Joshua, who scored a heathy 12 points from his captain, Bruno.

Chris has averaged a score of 65 points over the course of the season, which is commendable.
His lowest scoring gameweek was 34, which came in GW15.
Salah was his captain, (H) to Everton, but did not feature. Instead his captain switched to Kane, who scored 4 points v BOU (H).

His highest scoring gameweek was GW22 with 111 points.
He captained Aguero in their 6-1 thrashing of AVL (A) and earned him 40 points.
He also owned both Mahrez and Rashford, who had double digit scores also.

However, since I clearly hit the limit for amount of tweets you can send at once, this will mark the end of this thread.
Best of luck to both Chris and Joshua (If anyone has their @âs tag them please) and good luck to all #FPL managers on the final GW of 19/20.
