1. One thing I really like about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is how she elevates our politics. Something that is desperately needed now more than ever.

4. Yet, she doesn't remain silent, and is still able to counter her opponents' attacks effectively. She is a model of restraint and composure in a society that seems to prioritize vulgarity and bellicosity.
5. In a country with a government and a populace that seems to value decency and respect less and less, she is a beacon and a reminder that there is still goodness to be found in our society.
6. Her grace, class and dignity, even in the face of such ugly and blatant disrespect, is something many of us can learn from. We desperately need more politicians like her.
