so different. personally speaking, i love learning about people, especially those who are nothing like me. sure i love to learn about people who are also similar to me, but it gets a lot more fun when you have to really look deep into that person to figure them out. +
in this case, that person is furuya. i love learning his story and where he came from or what motivates him.

there are so many key roles that furuya played for seido and i don’t think people realize that. he’s more than just a character made to support eijun’s story.
but behind all that, he’s genuinely just a boy trying to fit in. back in hokkaido, it’s implied that yeah, furuya was

pretty lonely. but, after coming to seido, i guess you could say that he finally found home. he found people who could play on his level, nonetheless he found a catcher who could finally catch his pitches. his dedication was shown, as he went as far as to testing into seido. +
i just really, really love furuya’s character. even the little things like his love for polar bears or how even if he’s not the best at communication and expressing himself, he’s trying and that’s all that matters.
