So I grow popcorn in the garden every summer. And in the fall I pick the popcorn and leave it on the cob in a big silver bowl and let my daughters take the kernels off. They find it very satisfying.
Anyway, this process can take a while so the big silver bowl just sits there until all of the kernels are off the cob. And then because I’m lazy and because the corn needs to dry for a while the bowl just sits there even longer.
At some point I test pop some and if it pops up nicely I’ll put it in a ziplock bag and was the bowl. Then for the next nine months or so I pour some popcorn out of the bag and pop it up for a nice snack.
Well one of my daughters must have lost some pocket change in the bowl because the last three bowls of popped popcorn have had a dime and two pennies in the bottom.
There’s no real joke to this thread. It’s just a true glimpse behind the curtain into the life that I lead.
