Nothing irritates me quite like someone saying "If a minor is telling you they're uncomfortable, maybe you should listen!" because it's co-opting social justice rhetoric for a completely bullshit reason.

The concept of listening to minority groups, is actually really good. +
It can be difficult for non-minority people to handle cultural topics well, because they lack any experience with those topics. So we SHOULD sometimes sit down and listen if we want to be respectful.

But EVERY ADULT HAS BEEN A MINOR.

The ENTIRE usefulness of that phrasing +
+ stems from LACK OF EXPERIENCE.

And unless you're Athena and wise enough to know this shit anyway, NOBODY WAS BORN FULLY GROWN.
The "if a minor is uncomfy, you should listen!" Is like a pre-transition trans person telling a post-transition trans person "well, I'm pre-transition, so actually I know more about this than you"

Like, HELLO, you are talking to someone that's already been through that??
Like. Quit using social justice lingo to push your point when you DO NOT HAVE ONE that you can back up with ANYTHING other than scare-tactics armchair psychology and a three-year-old's grasp of morality and ethics.
