Ok finally sharing my first few attempts at batman before I move on to what I think is gonna be a wining design. I wanted him to have a more rougher/novice feel to him in terms of costuming, hence the sports motifs+simplicity in design.

Focusing mainly on sports gear for boxers+football players, but there's been a little bit of exploration in softball too. The idea seemed solid, I liked his helmet well enough, but it wasn't quite there for me yet.

Color scheme wise he matches Selina and contrasts with the rest of the more brightly colored Rogues (Ivy comes close but she adds bursts of color with the plants and flowers she grows all over her suit.

I shared these already, but I want in this thread for organizational purposes. Anyways, at this point I figured my problem was that suit felt too bulky and cloth like, I didn't want all the fancy gear and gadgets you typically see (makes him to militant looking to me).

So I tried making everything more sleek. Considered dropping the cape completely for more a wing suit like we see in batman beyond, but it still isn't working for me, I did like the ideas of it the cape working with snaps though.
