I wanna comment on this IG Swimwear/Unprofessionalism thing because it has a lot to do with how I feel about Bajan small businesses in general so lemme do a thread:
Your business is trending on twitter. Yay! But when you look it’s because people are calling you out for an instance of unprofessionalism. Before you beat down a paling and curse people for slandering your business think about it a lil ...
Analyze your tone. Your customer (as rude as some people can be) is not your friend and is also not your enemy. They are a person who’s trying to do business with you. Keyword here: money is being exchanged
“You got dis?” is an annoying statement especially if the item is clearly marked sold out but all that needed to be said was “Hi, that item is no longer available!” Literally. That’s it.
But-
No you don’t have to say anything else, you’ve addressed their question.
In this scenario the customer replied with another image of something that was sold out. Okay, don’t fret copy and paste that same thing you now write.
But-
No seriously, just copy and paste. Dassit! Nothing else has to be said!
Now your customer has sent you two images of items on your page that are sold out. 👌🏽 are you planning to restock these items? No? Delete them then. You’re clogging your page with items that will not be sold in the future and confusing your customer. Delete it.
Still feeling a lil incensed? Wanna post the customer to your page and talk about them? DO NOT DO THAT.
Would you like it if somebody bawl you out on a business page? No? Okay then. That is unprofessional. We don’t do them things.
This thread approaching a TLDR but one of my last points is, if you’re going to post a video about it, try to look at it from all view points before you come rattling through with “I don’t need nobody business!!” Yes you do. That’s why you opened a business to begin with.
Conclusion: customers are annoying I get it. But they don’t owe you a good morning, good English, good attitudes or even grammar. Answer their questions, provide your product and keep it healthy and your business will thrive.
I see too many of my black brothers and sisters with IG stores making these terrible mistakes which impacts their business negatively and decreases their customer base. This doesn’t need to happen guys! I want you to be successful, promise.
