Terminology that you might need to know in Street Dance 3 : A THREAD!

Toprock, refers from & #39;rock the beat to the top& #39;--this is usually used when a B-boy make a consecutive steps from standing position (usually to open any dance set).

When the B-boy finally & #39;drop& #39; from the standing position, it& #39;s called & #39;downrock& #39; (or footwork/floorwork)

C-Walk (or dripwalk). A footwork where dancers bounce their way with transfering their weight through a nimble shuffle step.

(Back then, this move is used by LA gang members to spell out letters of their gang name)

Chyper. When the dancers form a circle and start to dance one by one in the center. The center of the dancefloor that is open to those who wish to dance-- so it& #39;s not really a battle.

TKO/Killing/Kill off
When a sequence of dance moves the crowd so much that& #39;s it& #39;s technically knocked out their opponent. In krumping they usually refers it as & #39;kill off& #39; -- that& #39;s why Yibo said & #39;we must kill three& #39; & #39;I can& #39;t wait for Bouboo to kill them all& #39;

Air Baby Freeze. This particular is called that way because it supposed to be the one that& #39;s most common and easiest freeze to learn. IT& #39;S USUALLY USE TWO HANDS THO dhskshd Yang Kai only use one hand which is definitely HARDER

King Tut. Tutting is a variant of moves that& #39;s inspired heavily on thr shape egypt heliographics. It basically use your arms and shoulders to make angles, shapes, and boxes.

Some people asking me about krumping.. Here& #39;s the key : if it LOOKS ANGRY, have a lot of chest pop, foot stomps, and offensive hand gestures like you& #39;re about to pick a fight, it& #39;s krumping

I& #39;m in this thread again because people apparently prefer me to spam about dance trivias. There& #39;s several people who& #39;s confused about the difference between locking and waacking because both have & #39;similiar& #39; hands movement. Actually they& #39;re very different.

Locking still relies on hand movement that combined together with relaxed legs and hips. So if you saw them jumping and stepping a lot while & #39;pointing& #39; with their hands, it& #39;s locking.

Meanwhile, waacking leans heavily on rotational arms movement. Their body and legs usually don& #39;t move as much as locking because the focus is the hands.

Tbh I& #39;m still figuring whether this girl is doing waacking/voguing because she didn& #39;t do the duck/cat walk that often existed in Voguing and eventhough she dip, she doesn& #39;t do the usual & #39;dip and spin& #39;... But afterall both is kinda similiar in rotational arms >.>o
