I'm going to say it and it may cost me followers: drag is blackface for femininity. It's a slur on womanhood. It presents an amplified, caricatured version of "performative femininity" that is insulting to women.
Everyone cares about "offending," but nobody cares about women. Well, I care. For any other group, it would be extremely offensive. Drag is offensive to women. Would you be comfortable with a "performative" version of black people as a stage show? That's what drag is for women.
They're bitchy. They talk in high voices, they have exaggerated figures with big boobs, long legs etc. They "drag" women- that's the whole point.
