You’ve heard of muttonchops, but get ready for #Fluffenchops! The Fluffenchops Championship is here!

What are fluffenchops? Fluffenchops is the highly technical term for the cheek feathers of parrots and cockatoos. Fluffenchops can be big or small, and are not always activated!
#BlackCockatoos might be considered by some to have the best #fluffenchops. In fact, the scientific name for the genus of Black-cockatoos, Calyptorhynchus, means “hidden beak” in reference to their amazing fuffenchops.

I may be biased though... hence the competition!
Nominate a species with excellent fluffenchops by sharing a properly credited photo using #Fluffenchops2020. Nominees will be pitted against each other until there is just one #Fluffenchops Champion remaining!

Nominations close Monday 27th at 8am AWST, so get cracking!
A note about eligible species:
Only wild or wild type birds can be nominated. So no extra-boofy English budgies, but wild type budgies are ok.
Also, given the popularity of cockatiels as pets, we reserve the right to disqualify them if there is obvious vote rigging happening.
There have been some non-parrot nominations which need confirmation of their #Fluffenchops status. I'll add the relevant tweets to this thread so you can vote on whether they make the cut or not!
