How to cut calories at Starbucks: a thread
Use lower cal, and alternative milks. For example: whole milk has 180 cals, 2% and soy have 150, coconut has 110, nonfat has 100, and almond milk has 80.
Bring your own 0 calorie sweetener or ask for a 0 calorie alternative (some Starbucks now have a zero calorie add-in). For reference, each pump of syrup typically contains around 20 calories.
Ask for your flavorings sugar free! Most flavorings can add up to 40 cals!
NEVER get whip cream. Yes, it’s delicious but it’s also 80 cals. NOT worth it.
Opt for the lower calorie drinks available. For example: iced coffee (no milk), americano, hot teas, unsweetened shaken iced green tea.
Lastly, here are some examples.
Latte: Order a tall cappuccino with nonfat milk and no flavoring. 180–>100 cals
Vanilla bean Frappuccino: Order a tall vanilla bean frappe with sugar free vanilla, almond milk, no extra flavoring (or 0 cal if available), and no whip. 400–>140
