Making $150,000 a year in salary is not being rich. It's a cakewalk compared to $50k or even less. But it isn't "rich" no matter how you feel about it. Please try to comprehend the difference between the millions of dollars our Congresspeople are stealing from us personally.
You can't get your mental and emotional arms around the kind of money we mean when we say rich because it is literally incomprehensible the same way @SpeakerPelosi has not been able to name the price of bread, milk or eggs for the last forty years.
We are all infected with false scarcity. That's why the wealthy hoarde, and then have the nerve to announce they don't support direct financial relief for citizens in a pandemic.
We could have universal basic income, universal health care, universal preschool through doctorate education, keep unemployment benefits AND do another stimulus payment TONIGHT if they thought they had to do it to keep lining their pockets.
But as long as you have a bone to pick with the Mcmansion crowd, we'll never be scary enough. Put all that angst and poverty trauma into a proper curse or a scathing letter. That's what I do. Tell them to save their souls while they still have a chance.
