are where some of the worst injustices happen in our state. And that court left poor Mr. Burrell in a cage to rot over a misdemeanor tresspassing charge instead of getting him help... 2/x

What& #39;s really embarrassing is that the Las Vegas Municipal Court is supposed to have a Mental Health Treatment Court--Yet no person in that system reached out to get him help... 3/x

Moreover, our Nevada Legislature keeps cutting funding to our social safety net--so that the only solution our community has for people who are struggling like Mr. Burrell is to put them in a cage at the jail--out of sight, out of mind...4/x

This young man was in jail for Tresspassing. He needed help. And people callously watched him die--This is deliberate indifference. I& #39;m am so sad this happened to Mr. Burrell and his family.
