Police taping off Market between Shelby and Clay where there was a block party.
Police surrounded some block party attendees after they declared it an unlawful assembly. Those individuals are still on the ground.
Police broke away and rushed after someone who reportedly cut the yellow tape (couldn’t see from this angle). Person on a mic, “this is why we have to police you.” Now chanting, “fuck you” to LMPD officers.
Mood is once again block party like. Had a few people just tell a woman I was interviewing, “no talking to the media.”
Police are towing away vehicles parked on this block.
Music stop and it just got pretty quiet.
Ok never mind, music is back.
Still significant police presence here.
