Thinking about an AU where Lupin is a reputable art historian/appraisal/authenticate-er sort of guy who also curates a small museum with many highly famous and precious pieces of art. But, true to his namesake, he's been slowly replacing the pieces in the museum... (1/?)

Fujiko is a famous art dealer and is also smuggling the authentic museum pieces from Lupin and selling them to private buyers all around the world. Goemon is Fujiko's elite bodyguard because she's been known to back out of selling pieces at the last minute... (3/?)

...much to the anger and frustration of people who thought they had their hands on a famous Van Gogh or Rembrandt or what have you. So Goemon is pretty busy with jilted, revenge-minded would-be-buyers. (4/?)

Lupin and Fujiko are also lovers&business partners, but it only really works for them when business is good. The Problem is, Jigen notices this and starts to take his sweet time replicating paintings bc it means Lupin is more often in their basement flat they share downtown (5/?)

ALSO, recently, while auctioning Jigen's "mysterious anonymous" paintings, Lupin, famed art appreciator and such, has noticed something in Jigen's personal works that suggests Jigen is deeply and passionately in love with someone and he has no idea who (6/?)
