⚠️ July 24th General Leaks Finding Thread ⚠️
Heard murmurs of strange files in the Argonaut repos for StarFox, and I found "PSX_SPEC.TXT", a specsheet about the PS1, but it's written in...Cool Kids speak??

A rom of Star Fox 2! It has a rotating cube for the title screen, with menus for all sorts of things.
"sleep_rom0.bin" No date listed
It's an early rom for Yoshi's Island, I think? It won't boot further, and simply enters this screen and never lets me choose a level...
Also, the ROM Header reads Super Mario World, so it's that early in that it's still just got the old header
donkey_test/super_donkey_2.bin
A prototype for a SNES platformer, from Nintendo! The files are in the repo for Yoshi's Island, and the style used is very much, the same. The protagonist has very fluid animation, and the creature design is super cute!!!
THEYRE SO CUUUUUUTE
Ah, so apparently pressing Start changes the palette. I also fell out of bounds, and there's no respawn trigger.
Huge, huge vibes...

A bitmap containing planning, in tiles, for the Yoshi's Island title screen!
So the files I'm going through seem to be a literal backup of some of a staff member's work computer, and I've gathered this because of the way the files are set up, and also because there's a Diary in here, labeled "calendar", and it's. It's a diary!
It mentions life things, like having back pain, it mentions everytime the person does "overtime", and to what hour, haircuts, etc, it's not the kind of thing I'd expect to find in these leaks? It ends June '95, where they had crunched everyday for 3 Weeks, to finish the final ROM
"rrr_4x4_f.xwd" - 9/1/1994
A full, uncompressed bitmap, for a Yoshi's Island level! I think it's exported from some sort of overview program...?
"ROM-2.CGX" - 3/25/1993
A set of characters and tiles for the Link's Awakening credits sequence, however it also lovingly tells you, it is in-fact, Rom 2.
A lot of these actually have letterings denoting what they are,
"tapestly.CGX" - 3/25/1993
Some more files/tiles for the Link's Awakening credits, this with some more indepth info written on it
move :)
"kup_new.cgx" 6/11/1993
I don't have a clue what I'm looking at, folder's named "z-road_hunting". It's got...bowser? Or something?
"1.HTM" 4/21/1995
Digging back into the weird Starfox 2 files, I don't quite know what to make of this???
A webpage on...cool internet finds, and stuff I guess?? Quake??
"ENGLISH.MSG" - 9/25/1995
Really enjoying the respecting-women juice they were sipping at Argonaut, with wonderful inclusive names like
"girl1" and "girl2"
"HOSTDATA.DAT" - 6/5/1994
A log of what looks like internal messaging, for Argonaut staff during Star Fox 2. It's a mess.
incredible
the real reason star fox 2 got cancelled and never released was because its staff was too busy focusing on internal drama on *checks notes*
PORN
A Traumatic Childhood Experience Involving a Mr. Potato Head
THIS IS SO FUNNY????????????????
Okay, finally something actually useful. According to Ronnie of Argonaut games, the studio worked on Stunt Race FX, uncredited? Apparently Nintendo of America did game-design as well.
Think I've dug through enough Argonaut Studios messes and messages, a buncha gross messages about their wives and crude jokes and just generally. a mess
Alright so I was informed the other Yoshi's Island prototype, the sleep one, is controllable with Player 2! It is, but the ROM doesn't quite...work? You can't do anything other than select a level, and it never loads quite right.
Broadcom's internal archives, used to test the hardware of the iQue-GBA and various things.
They include...Roms. From the internet. As well as VBALink, an emulator. From the internet.
Software for interacting with the cancelled, iQue Netcard peripheral for the GBA, by BroadCom. Also included, an earlier, beta version of the program, with a Silver skin.
