And there are professional concerns, of course. But this recent trend has been & will be mostly a dead-end for the left: I think socialists who can’t or won’t join the CP (which is fine) or don’t believe NDP can change except through such schemes should create other parties

These organizations already exist: were they able to support @SaronGeb when she got railroaded by the NDP, or Sid Ryan when the NDP vetting committee messed with him, or @DockCurrie when the NDP tossed his candidacy against riding association wishes?
