Saw an article in the @chicagotribune about Black Crime Fiction authors that included.
A man already well known in other fields & appears to be writing his FIRST crime fiction novel.
A man who is super problematic.

The ONLY woman quoted in this article was a bookstore owner. I repeat, the @chicagotribune did an article on black crime writers when there& #39;s not a single BLACK woman crime writer quoted in it.

I& #39;m not even offended for myself. I& #39;m sick of black women getting constantly shit on/ignored when we bust our asses as much as, if not more than, our peers. You can& #39;t tell me that when it comes to black crime fiction, black women are leading the charge in 2020. 3/
We& #39;re not only getting multiples books published, we& #39;re being nominated for--and winning--awards. And, just as important, we& #39;re the ones on these boards trying to fight the good fight to make sure crime fiction...actually changes.
So huge shout out to @RachelHowzell, @AlexiaGordon, @vmburns, @tracypc6161, @AbbyVandiver, @cheaddc, @nikkidolson, @BooksbyPatricia, @blacktop1950, @LizzWilk, and countless others. I see you even if no one else does.
. @Michrichter1 has informed me that it& #39;s Ian& #39;s second crime fiction novel, so my bad on that. However, I still stand by what I said.
Also, another typo. I forgot "not": You can& #39;t tell me that when it comes to black crime fiction, black women are NOT* leading the charge in 2020
